چکیده
A field experiment was carried out during the wet season of 2019 at experimental plot Institute Agricultural Research and Training (I.A.R&T), Moor Plantation, Ibadan. The aim is to examine response maize organic inorganic fertilizer on soil under intensive continuous cultivation. Initial samples were collected randomly from plots analyzed. using four treatments, organic, inorganic, plus control with each replicated three times. Each has a dimension 3m x 4m. Agronomic parameters observed plant height (cm), number leaves (leaf area index, LAI), stover’s weight, ear yield grain. After harvesting, measure changes in properties. Calcium, magnesium, sodium improved significantly after application - compared other treatments. result shows that treated (poultry manure + NPK) had highest 1.03t/ha (NPK) 0.87t/ha, manure) 0.71t/ha which no treatment least 0.15t/ha. Therefore, recommended for optimum sustainable production degraded soil.

Maize (Zea mays L.) Response to Nitrogen Fertilizer under Drought Stress at Vegetative and Reproductive Stages
In the sub-tropics, water and nitrogen are the most important factors limiting the grain yield of maize. The effect of nitrogen (N) rates and drought stress at different growth stages of maize were investigated. Nitrogen treatments consisted of 100, 150, and 200 kgN.ha-1 from the urea source while water stress treatments were composed of irrigation-off since the early 10-leaf stage to emergenc...

متن کاملEffect of Organic Inorganic Bio Fertilizer and Seed Inoculation on Soil Properties, Growth and Yield of Maize (Zea mays L.) Var. Hybrid MM-2255
Maize is one of the important cereal crops in the world agricultural economy both as food grains for human and fodder and feed for cattle and poultry. Maize grain contains about 72% starch, 10% protein, 4.8% oil, 5.8% fiber, 3.0% sugar and 1.7% ash (Choudhary, 1993). Along with this, it is rich in vitamin A, vitamin E, nicotinic acid, riboflavin and contains fairly high phosphorus than rice and...
متن کاملNonlinear response of N2O flux to incremental fertilizer addition in a continuous maize (Zea mays L.) cropping system
The relationship between nitrous oxide (N2O) flux and N availability in agricultural ecosystems is usually assumed to be linear, with the same proportion of nitrogen lost as N2O regardless of input level. We conducted a 3-year, high-resolution N fertilizer response study in southwest Michigan USA to test the hypothesis that N2O fluxes increase mainly in response to N additions that exceed crop ...
